Mother Daughter Journey
June 14 @ 10:30 am - 5:00 pm£20 – £60
A journey for mothers and daughters at the Tortworth Forest Centre.
Join Leona and Bec on a journey designed to bring you closer together.
* Foraging * Woodland Craft * Nature Connection * Wild Seasonal Food *
Bec and Leona will bring their respective skills and experience to a unique woodland series, the Mother Daughter Journey, three woodland days spread across the seasons.
Arrive in the woods to the sound of the campfire crackling, and the smell of coffee brewing.
We start the day with Leona’s indulgent homemade cakes and a gentle introduction to the day. The morning is a chance to reflect and learn about the trees and plants around us, and we invite you to meditate or walk through the woods learning about their rhythms and what they can teach us.
Returning for lunch, we feast on locally produced and wild foraged food, created with love by Leona, owner of the St Werburghs Farm Cafe in Bristol. Choosing freshly foraged ingredients and plants with medicinal qualities, her food will nourish us before we head into the afternoon’s woodland crafting.
We finish after a warm closing circle and make our goodbyes, and hope you leave inspired to continue your journeys together after we leave the woods.
This is a chance for you to spend meaningful time in nature learning a range of skills – from bushcraft, foraging, herbal medicine and campfire cooking – in a supportive and inclusive way among the trees at Tortworth. Each session focusses on a seasonal plant, using the secrets of that plant as a way to connect more deeply with nature.
We are creating space for you to explore and deepen your relationship with your mother/daughter in among the beauty of the trees.
Please note that we welcome any mothers and daughters who identify as women in any way – we recognise that these labels are often fluid and evolving.
If you would like to book for all three sessions we offer a 15% discount, contact Bec for Details.
