Women’s Solo Wild Camp – 48 hrs
August 15 @ 12:00 pm - August 17 @ 12:00 pm£90 – £140
Join HoneyWoods for a supported solo wild camp in a beautiful woodland near Chepstow.
Solo Wild Camping
We will meet at the woodland at midday and set up a base camp, collect firewood and start a fire together. After sharing a campfire lunch we then go through the skills you need for your solo camp, including how to set up a shelter, light your fire and find help in an emergency.
After an afternoon’s training, you and the other wild women will part ways to find your own solo wild camping space in the woods, safe in the knowledge that the base camp is within earshot. But rest assured – you will be camping solo in a stunning 80-acre woodland and will be surrounded by wildlife and nature.
Cook your own meal on your campfire and, using your new found skills, sleep under the stars and enjoy two nights’ wild camping solo.
The second day you are invited to spend as much or as little time as you like in the main camp or remain solo all day. Our leaders will be on hand to answer any questions or just for a chat.
Shortly after dawn on the last day you take down your camp and leave no trace, before joining the base camp again for a luxurious campfire breakfast and share your experiences with the group.
This is an empowering, gentle and supported way to try out wild camping, raising your confidence and taking time to reflect on the experience as a group before you leave.
Tickets include all training and food, and we have some sleeping bags and bivvy bags available for those who don’t have them already.
We also have a gentle weekend retreat, the Wild Women Retreat in July and September.
We are generously supported by Alpkit Foundation with bivvy bags and tarpaulins.
