Woodland Women – New Beginnings
January 27 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pmFree – £30
Escape from the noise of the city and join us under the extraordinary trees at Tortworth Arboretum, where we will be immersed in nature, free to relax and unwind around the campfire.
For this session, we will celebrate the beginning of the new season, Ostara, and the Spring Equinox.
Spring is the time of emergence, expansion, outward expression and new growth. After the winter dormant season the energy of the body wants to spring and grow outwards and draw upon the stored energy of winter.
We will focus on the healing properties of the birch tree, a tree which is associated with cleansing and new beginnings. Together we will tap the tree to access it’s sweet sap, and try birch bark tea.
We also are joined by Jules for a spring time yoga and restorative workshop.
Using Yoga, meditation and relaxation techniques, we will shake off the lethargy, fill our bodies with prana (energy) and breathe new life into ourselves. Ending our workshop with a delicious Yoga Nidra that will support us to relax, restore and recharge ready for the new season.
Suitable for all levels, Jules works in a gentle restorative way, supporting people to explore yoga at their own pace and ability
