We know that being in the woods can heal and nurture people from all walks of life, whether you need time off from a hectic career, from busy home lives, from illness, trauma or mental health challenges. We know this because we have seen the most incredible journeys of recovery unfold among the trees. It is gentle and powerful in equal measure.

This is why we decided, in 2018, to convert to a Community Interest Company. Our mission is to help people connect with nature to improve their physical, emotional and mental health and wellbeing.

Our public events are always as affordable as we can make them. We want to balance offering affordable experiences with paying our amazing staff a living wage, and so we work a sliding scale for most of our events depending on your income.

However, we know that sometimes we need to make a little more effort to encourage people from diverse backgrounds to the woodland and so we offer bursaries for event tickets, camping equipment and transport costs to those who would benefit.

Our Bursary Scheme

If you would like to access the bursary and find out more, just get in touch. There are no complicated forms to fill out and we don’t need to know lots of detail – if you need support attending any of our events and we have funds available, we can help.

Supporting Women

We also run an internship programme and offer training to women who have graduated from The Hawthorn Project and The Mayflower Project, and are looking for routes into work in the sector.

You can help us to provide more of these reduced price and free places and support the internship programme by donating to the bursary fund.
